A brief history of patting

Ancient beginnings

About 4,000 years ago the orientals mapped the body's energy meridians which were later used by the Chinese in acupuncture for thousands of years for healing.

Modern discovery

Using these same meridians an American Psychiatrist Dr. Roger Callinan discovered in the 1980's that percussive patting on those energy points helped to reduce patient's anxiety in a spectacularly fast way, and most of the time it was permanent.

This began a new era of healing around the world using energy techniques and this modern form of acupuncture.

A student of Dr. Callinan, Gary Craig took it to the next level of simplicity and efficiency which has helped it spread worldwide at amazing growth rates since the mid 1990's.

Restoring confidence

When you are anxious your mind is preoccupied with negative thoughts which is quite normal for most people, however this lowers your confidence and with dating, socializing, romance, love etc. there are many opportunities for people to feel anxious and lose some of their confidence.

Anxiety, or negative thoughts cause doubts about yourself which is the opposite of being confident. This in turn causes you to act in a way that is not normal or relaxed for you and which hides some of your best qualities.

By using this patting energy technique on various doubts you can remove them and change your image. Your body language will then show others your true personality and your soul mates nearby will be very attracted to those no matter what you are doing - talking, dancing, relaxing or having fun.

Practiced by professionals worldwide

This technique is used by professional sport psychologists, psychotherapists, medical doctors, many allied healing professions, rehabilitation clinics, life coaches, athletic and sport coaches, teachers, parents and individuals in many countries around the world. Results are great with young children, young adults, middle aged persons and the elderly.

How it works

Negative thoughts, feelings and doubts block the flow of energy in our meridians and the simple patting action unblocks them.

This only happens while we have the negative feeling, at other times they are not blocked.

It is not known which of the seven meridians are blocked at any one time or how many of them are affected which is why all of them are patted in a "round of patting".

There are various ways to use this technique and your gripe list is one of those for people who have come from the page "Do this first".

As you are speaking about one of your gripes keep patting the same spot until you have finished your statement, then move on to the next gripe and the next patting point.

If you are not patting the right point for that particular gripe you will still have that negative thought at the end of your list which will be obvious to you, so just keep going with the process until you can no longer think of any more doubts or negative feelings - that is when you have finished and they have been eliminated.
