How to overcome a low response to your patting round

The major reason for not getting good results is not keeping it specific to one emotion on one particular part of one event.

Break down the event into little parts by going over it in a movie in your mind and stop at the first scene. Pat on whatever emotions come up at that time. Then allow the movie to move to the next scene, pat on any emotions at that particular time and so on until the event and all its aspects have been covered.

There are other things at work that can prevent your successful removal of anxiety which are based on your environment.

First try changing your position in your room or go to another room because electrical fields, strong chemicals from carpet cleaning etc. and some other things can definitely affect your results. It is not common, but it does happen.

Next try it at another time of the day or on another day because chemicals we use on our body or eat in our food can also affect the results. Once again this is very uncommon, but it can happen.

If this does not work satisfactorily try using the setup phrase "I deeply and completely love and accept myself" instead of just "I accept myself anyway". If you still have a low response after that try yelling the setup phrase above to give it more emphasis. All these things can help when a person is stuck and has difficulty getting rid of a particular anxiety.

Do not be discouraged, practice of this technique will improve your results.

Most people get excellent results from the beginning, but with others who do not, practice works wonders.

Do not think that the other patting techniques that follow this one will not be successful just because your first attempt was not, most of them will be highly successful for most people.

Eventually, you will be able to say the set-up phrase in several seconds and do the patting points in ten seconds so it can be really quick.
